Like adults, they need an outlet. At the basic level, a short, 10 minute workout can relax and refocus a child, and redirect some of that endless energy.
If you’re worried that yoga will impart some kind of religion on your child, don’t worry. Modern yoga, especially for kids, focuses on exercises and stretches. The traditional poses have been renamed to avoid any cultural or religious messages. So you child will actually have fun doing downward-facing dog and cat.
